This is a painting of Martin Luther. Luther was a German
monk and was the leader of the Protestant Reformation.
Luther correctly believed the church was corrupt and he
condemned the selling of indulgences. Luther believed
that the bible is the true source of religious truth, not the
pope.Luther and his followers broke away from the catholic
church and started the Protestant Church, specifically the
Lutheran Church.

This is a painting of John Calvin. John Calvin was a French
Theologian born in 1509 in Noyon, France. He formed a
protestant religion called Calvinism. Calvinism is similar to
Lutheranism, but Calvinists believe in predestination. Predestination
is the idea that God chose long ago who would reach salvation.
Calvin at one time controlled Geneva and enforced strict rules such
as no gambling, wearing luxurious clothing, or practicing Catholicism

This is a painting of John Knox, leader of the Scottish Reformation.
Knox was born in 1513 in Scotland. He first publicly professed the
Protestant faith in 1545. After Scotland was declared Protestant
in 1560, Knox was active in organizing a National Reformed church.
Knox then continued preaching and pastoring in St. Giles, Edinburgh.
He died in 1572.
